All the charges on the above list will work with 99.9% of the cars sold in the USA that accept the Type 1 J1772 grip.
Companies advertise that these charging cables are 25 feet long because the J1772 plus the box each add a foot of length to the 23 feet of cable length. 23 feet of cable plus one foot for the J1772 grip plus 1 foot for the box = 25 feet.
Level 1 chargers that are included with you car purchase are 120 volt 16 amp and will take about 20 hours to charge a car.
All the above chargers on the list are level 2 chargers.
16 Amp 240 volt chargers will take 6 to 8 hours to charge most cars.
32 Amp 240 volt chargers will take 4 hours to charge most cars.
The optional travel converter box can only be used with chargers that charge at speeds of 16 amp at 240 volts or less. This is why the adjustable chargers have optional travel boxes and the fixed 32 amp chargers to not have optional travel boxes.
Adjustable chargers give you the option to slow down the charging speed to extend overall battery life and maximize the drive time per charge or speed up the charging speed when needed.
Item 20180815 is unique as it combines the travel box with a level 2 charger and eliminates the need to hire an electrician to move up to level 2 charging speeds.
Level 3 chargers are a DC current based charging technology and are limited to a very small select group of electric cars and are designed to charge cars in under one hour and are not included in our list.
