question: Hi, I would like to know more about the Powrflite PFX900S self contained carpet cleaner....Is there a heating option, or an option for upgraded vacuum motors? and is it possible to freight to Gin Gin Queensland Australia 4671? If so, what would the total cost be?
Thanks,
Jesse
Answer: This machine does not offer a heating option, no do any of the self contained extractors as this would require a second power cord plugged into a different breaker. All the factories figure this would make it too hard to pull the machine backwards as the added extension cord would be too restrictive. The second issue is all self contained extractors are high flow systems and use multiple large spray jets. Please note the water would flow through the heater so fast I do not expect too much temperature rise would be experienced. Can it be done? Answer: "yes." Steam Brite can custom build anything I think you could dream up, it just would not be practical. Here is what I do think you might want to add is bucket heater to preheat the water to 140 degrees F (60 C). http://www.steam-brite.com/advanced_...=bucket+heater
Please note I mean heat 5 gallons of water with the heater as it is NOT OK to place a bucket heater on the inside of the fresh water tank as this ruins the heater and the machine all in one swoop.
Also please note that these machines are only manufactured in 120 volts for our company. We can ocean ship to a port address a full pallet of products for about $1000 USD.
To make the ultimate self contained extractor, to me, would be to add auto fill, auto dump and place the heater at the sink. Waste tank lint filtration would also have to be added. Run the power cord with the auto fill and dump hose together. This would eliminate the filling, emptying, make the water an average of 20 degree F hotter. I expect to custom make this would add about $1700 USD to the cost of the machine.
