Quick question - what is the diff between your new inline booster vs the universal booster that fits on top of portable? I get waaaaaay better vacuum results from universal booster than from using airhog as a flow thru or inline booster (etm is truckmounted and airhog is then booster). If I put universal booster on airhog as stand alone, I get much vacuum in comparison.
I think your inline would be easier/quicker set up to boost either etm or airhog, but I don't think it will be as effective as the top mounted universal booster (great product btw so is the hotbox with pressure pump....and, as I look at more things on your site - u have some really innovative stuff!).

Answer: Their is never any such a thing as a quick answer...
Hose Mount or in line booster mount between two sections of vacuum hose. This is placed between your parent machine and your cleaning tool. There are two different types of in line boosters. Water Pass through and Water holding. Pass through do not hold any water, rather the dirty water just passes through and the dirty water ends up in the original machine. Water holding is when no water ends up in the originalparent machine and the booster pumps out the dirty water.

Machine Mount: is when the booster mounts or connects directly to the top of the parent machine. Universal booster is an example. We have also made booster that are in a stand alone box and then a hose mounts to the top an added top mounted vacuum port.

Exhaust Mount: is when the vacuum air that has been processed by the parent machine, leaves the machine. The booster hooks to the exhaust of the parent machine. Some machine have build exhaust ports, others require you to install the ports. Current Mytee branded machines have built in exhaust ports.

Performance at the end of the hose is determined mostly on the amps you add to your vacuum and not the placement of the booster. Example if my booster is a 10 amp 120 volt motor the improvement will not matter if it is machine mount, hose mount or exhaust mount. Machine mount and hose mount add mostly more CFM (cubic feet per minute of airflow), Exhaust mount add mostly more inches of water lift.
The Universal Vacuum Booster is a 10 amp booster and the Mytee 7303 is a 28 amp vacuum booster so the Mytee unit is almost 100% stronger. The Exhaust Mount Air-23 is a 20 amp booster and would provide a more balanced performance for machines that are already in parallel.
A balanced vacuum system is the preferred choice the vacuum motor manufactures. This is when your CFM and inches of water lift are equal. In other words, if I already have a parent machine with two motors in series, I should purchase my booster in series (example the Mytee 7303), If my parent machine is in parallel, I should add a exhaust mount system so my booster will change this so I will have two motors in series, and two in parallel. If I have a parent machine with a single vacuum motor, or dual 2 stage, a machine mount would would be prefered but all types still would work.

Example if you look at the Goliath or the Goliath Quad 6.6 these are already balanced vacuum systems. 4 vacuum motors total. Two motors are in vacuum air series, the other two are in air series and then those two sets of pairs of motors are in parallel. Air series motors are when the exhaust of the first vacuum motor is sucked into the second vacuum motor. This creates a 70% improvement in inches of lift and a 25% increase in CFM. Take for example the Quad 7.5 amp 2 stage Goliath (30 amp combined vacuum system with all 4 motors on)
Each motor 96 inches of lift X 98 CFM (already balanced) By the math, two motors in series are now 96 inches X 1.70 / 98 CFM X 1.25. This = 163" X 122.5 Cfm. In real life the machine got 170" X 125 CFM and then we join that group of two motors with another pair and we have 170" X 250 CFM = 42,500 vacuum units. Now that is more than a Roots 33 gas powered truckmount.
Take the Goliath Quad 6.6 / each motor 12.5 amps each. Each motor is 132" of lift and 139 CFM (already balanced). Now by the machine in a twin air series system, 132" X 1.7 / 139 CFM X 1.25 = 224.4" water lift X 173.75 CFM. Take two pairs of this performance and you have 224.4" X 347.5 CFM = 77,979 Vacuum units with a 50 amp vacuum system. This is stronger that most all 20 and 25 hp gas powered truckmounts. Example look at the Sapphire Scientific 370SS is 317 cfm X 190" = 60,230 Vacuum units operating on a 20 Hp Kohler motor. In out studies synergistic equipment is currently out performing all in one machines. In other words a 20 hp generator operating an electric vacuum and pump and then burning a fuel for water heating is producing much higher Performance Units.
