I am considering the purchase of this PowerFlite extractor. I will be using it basically for restaurant use and some light home duty. The restaurant carpet gets quite dirty and needs to be done every 2 months. Does anyone have any experience with one of these and could you tell me the pros and cons?

I have cleaned lots of restaurants and here are the cons for this machine. It is not auto fill and auto dump. That means every 15 min. changing the water that waste another 5 minutes per water change. On a large job this means taking at least an extra half hour.
The machine is only 500 psi when you are not squeezing the cleaning trigger. Expect the pressure to drop and clean at only 250 psi to 350 psi (depending on your spray jet sizes) when you are squeezing the trigger lever. Restaurant carpets can be super nasty and being able to clean at a true 500 psi cleaning pressure would allow you to clean twice as fast as cleaning at 250 psi.
The machine has 6 stages of vacuum. This mean being able to clean with 75 ft of 1.5" 1.5 ID hose. That may or may not be enough distance. Being able to plug into one location and clean the entire location is preferred.
This machine uses a 1.5" barbed vacuum port. This means you will not be able to move up to the benefits of using 2" vacuum hose.
I am not saying that there is anything wrong with this machine, just that for cleaning restaurants you might want auto fill and dump with more suction and more pressure.
