My other business has taken all of my time for the last few months. Before that my market was remodling clean-up and move out/in cleaning for real estate offices, apartments (few) and word of mouth. I have been giving serious consideration to going full blow carpet cleaning and was curious what many of you felt about market saturation. since I left the market, i see so many new companies doing shampooing. I live in a small town but neighbor larger communities...all of my old contacts have been blown. Thoughts?

more and more carpet
Do you have a lot of new home construction? Apartment being built? New stores and strip malls being built? How many people graduate from high school in your town every year? These are all factors in how many thousands of yards of carpeting that will be installed in the next year. These carpets will be need to be maintaned. Hear is an idea. Contact these carpet retailers and have them sell maintenance contracts. You pay them 20% of the sale. They can roll the contract charge into the financing.
The other thing to consider is all the other services you can offer. Air duct cleaning, water damage, upholstery cleaning, auto interior cleaning, rental property cleaning, restaurant cleaning.... -
