Each burner, regardless of the make, model or brand the btu rating is totally adjustable. The BTU refer to the amount of heat given off by the flame size. The flame size is adjusted by the nozzle size. Move up to the next larger fuel nozzle and it sprays more fuel faster and make a bigger flame. The default size is 235,000 btu's.
