Question: I was asking if can I use that Kunkle valve on my Prochem legend se with a 4ml blower and a 20.5 hp kohler? If not I would need a rebuild for the original vacuum relief valve 90 coming from the blower. As for the motor it’s pretty worn on the label but I can see a ch20s on it that’s about it
Answer: The Kunkle valve does not open as easy as the original air break vacuum valve that the factory installed. This means it will add addition load requirements to your engine. We normally would ask you to use a 23.5-25 hp engine with a 4ML vacuum blower. You will increase the likely hood of blowing an head gasket by making the engine work too hard in high stress situations (like water extractions) using the original engine with this size blower and a Kunkle valve.
