Question: The extra heat of having vacuum motors in series shorten the life of a vacuum motor?
Answer: Yes, the second motor in series typically will fail about 2 to 3 weeks before the first motor in series. This is not always the case and the difference is less than 5%. I have not determined if this is because the number of revolutions is slightly increased which in turn just causes the vacuum motor carbon brush to wear out or if it is from the heat of the first vacuum motor.
Question: Will installing a vacuum motor heat exchanger shorten the live of a vacuum motor?
Answer: No at all. None of the vacuum motor heaters add heat to the vacuum motors, make them work harder or easier. No change in life span of vacuum motors.
