question: I cracked my Aquatec pump head during installation can I get a warranty replacement?
Answer: The factory never pays for cracked heads as they are carefully inspected at the factory before they ship.
This does happen when the customer over tightens the pipe fitting into the pump during installation, especially when brass fittings are used and even more so in the winter than summer.
When installing the pump, please acclimate the pump to room temperature.
Use Teflon pipe sealing tape on your plastic fitting.

At least 4 tight wraps in the counter clockwise direction.
Install fitting hand tight and then only tighten with a wrench 1/4 turn and STOP.
Pressure test.
