enzymes good or bad?

i have heard enzymes are good to clean with and i also heard they were bad for carpets can anyone offer a clear explination of this.

Enzymes Good VS Evil

First their are enzyme cleaners and enzyme deodorizers. Both cause premature re-soiling if not rinsed out, so always use them as a prespray. Enzymes can be manufactured in both a high pH or more neutral. Enzymes that have a pH over 10 will void the new warranties of carpets newer than 5 years of age, so test you pH or just use in a commercial application.
