          vitamin odor in carpet

Normally the first step would be to find the pH of the spot. The clean the face, and back of the carpet with the opposite pH cleaner. In other words if the pH was above 7 then you would clean with the same level below 7. To find the pH of a spot you will have to add a few drops distilled water and push pH litmus paper into the damp spot with a stainless object. Please visit

and watch the video. I think you will have to perform something like this. The corrective procedure would be to dump super hot water onto the problem and then apply the vacuum to pull all the water back out. The hotter the water the better job you will do getting the odor out. After extraction, please apply air movement as odors piggy back with moisture and it is super important to get the spot as dry as possible. So what if you do not have access to a water claw, Drieaz Rover, or HydroX pad drying attachment? You can just use a shop vac and take the vacuum hose and push the end of the hose into the carpet and hold there. The process will be much slower as perform on every square inch.

            remove odor from carpet

Have you tried water-tea tree oil solution and borax?

Make a solution of 1 cup water to 16 tsp tea tree oil and place in a spray bottle. Take your carpet outside and spray it with the solution just enough to make it slightly damp (but not soaked). When it's damp enough, apply a generous amount of borax and let it sit for a few hours. Then vacuum it up. That's it.

You should spot test before you do this to make sure the colors in your rug will stay the same.

You might need some professional help...

Okay, so I'm realizing that my title may sound like a personal jab. It's not. What I mean is that you may need to hire a professional to come help. I think 1Lars said something like this too.

              Good luck!
