Question: I have a portable extractor that does not have a automatic pump shut-down feature when the clean water gets low.
Can i purchase a switch or something that i can fit to my machine to turn off the pump or the whole machine when this happens?

Answer: It is possible to do.

Just rotate the barrel on the float switch to change the action from normally closed circuit to normally on or just mount the the switch in the bottom of the fresh tank with the bulkhead fitting
The relay would just control the pressure pump instead of a auto dump pump.
