Question: What size vacuum motors does the Rotovac CFX duel three stage take? And will the new Ametek 6.6 fit?
Answer: The dual 3 stage took the standard 10 amp 3 stage motor with a 5.7" diameter pattern and it will NOT accept a 6.6 in its place.
Please note the 3 hole pattern of the 6.6 is different than all 5.7" diameter vacuum motors.
The only motor that might fit, and I say might because I personally have not tried it is the Electro Conical vacuum.
Please note these use a special gasket under the vacuum motors
Both the 6.6 and the conical electro motor use an average of 12.5 amps of power and you will find the vacuum performance the same.
Please check the height clearance under the hood of the Rtovac CFX as this gasket is taller than a standard gasket as it allows for the conical vacuum motor bottom.
