Question: I was wondering if you could give me a quick troubleshoot or direction with my CleanStorm Carpet extractor. Suddenly my quick connect will not connect. I was in the middle of a job when a stain I came across in the carpet began to cause foaming in the extractor. I unconnected everything, emptied the machine and tried to reconnect to resume the job. Suddenly the quick connect will not latch. I was thinking it could have something to do with excess pressure in the line. Is there something I could try to resolve the issue quickly?
Answer: Yes, having water pressure left in the inside of your pressure hoses will make it impossible to reconnect your hose to your machine. The male side of the hose has an exposed nipple that you can push onto the cement sidewalk to remove the pressure.
Make sure you lubricate the couplers with any type of oil.
If it still will not let you connect to the machine, turn the pressure adjustment know on the pressure regulator to a lesser pressure and try again.
Please note that the coupler are brass and to even drop them onto the cement will make them not connect and may require replacement.
