Question: Received 2 gauges with my order. The vacuum gauge is not at zero. It is WAY off. It will give inaccurate reading. How do I get a replacement?
Answer: Vacuum gauges are never at zero as they all show up this way and you have to calibrate to your altitude.
To calibrate to your altitude, hold your gauge vertical with the rubber stopper to the top, raise the stopper up to allow air to pass in and out of the top of the gauge.
Use a rubber tipped blow gun hooked to your air compressor or even your mouth to blow air into the back of the gauge at the hose connection (usually 1/4" Mip).
Lower the rubber stopper and clean.
