question: Is there any advantage of a single 2" ID vacuum stack inside of a portable over 2 separate 1.5" ID stacks?
Answer: Here is the math of the area of a circle = r X radius X pie (3.14)
Dual 1.5" stacks = 3.53 square inches.
Single 2" = 3.14 square inches.
So dual 1.5" Id vacuum stack pipes in the machine can offer less restriction and possibly offer better vacuum over a single 2 inch ID system.
This 12.42% more area with the dual pipe system.
I doubt that it really makes any difference once the wand is on the floor...
The dual 1.5" inch system is used in the Goliath Portables.
The single 2" system is used in some Mytee Portables.
