Question: Hi, I purchased the Little Giant 3HT 120,000 BTU High Pressure water heater from you on Dec. 7th, 2011. I am using it to clean tile and grout. I am only able to get grout really clean by using the Cobra hand tool. I can't get enough pressure to use the Turbo Force Turbo Hybrid tool or the smaller Mini-Turbo hand-held tool. They will clean very mildly dirty grout but not anything substantial. I don't know what to do; I spent 9hrs on my hands and knees yesterday cleaning a 180sq ft. bathroom with 2x2" tiles. I used Viper Venom 3x. I did get it clean but I've yet to encounter a commercial floor yet that I could clean with the stand up Turbo Hybrid.
any insight would be helpful,
thank you and God bless,
~Mike
Answer: When ever something is not coming clean, always refer to the cleaning pie. The four things that are present to get any surface clean. Heat, dwell time, agitation, chemical. Pressure is a form of agitation but many time it is good to consider a mechanical brush on a floor machine.
The other issue that I wander about is why the cobra single jet tool works and the dual jet tools are not performing as well. This thinks that maybe your flow rate is too low on the dual jets tools. Please make sure that you descaler you heater and clean all your water filters to make sure your flow rate is as high as possible. Please consider adding a pressure filter so your spinner jets are not clogged.
If you are using a suction feed pump, you might have to consider converting it to a pressure feed system. This picks up the flow rate on the pump and improves the pressure at the same time. To determine if you need to make this conversion, please look at the pressure gauge and see if you experience a difference between idol pressure and cleaning pressure.
