  • which portable do I need, or need a custom made.

I have a custom made oriental rug vacuum machine, with the conveyor belt. The machine has two vacuum heads; one at the top, one at the bottom of the conveyor belt. I have european custom made water suction motor, but I am not too happy with it. It is very noisy, plus requires at least 2 tons of water because it needs water to suck water. I need a strong vacuum to suck/extract the water from the wet rugs. The total length of the hose is approximately 40 feet, 20 feet hose for the top vacuum, and 20 feet for the bottom. The diameter of the hose is 2''. I need an extractor with an automatic discharge of water continuously, in other words, the extractor must be pumping the water out at the same time of extraction. I read through this forum, what I understand is that I need 2 vacuums with 2 stage each with at least 250 inches or more water lift. I just need a reliable extractor that will only extract water from the rug and disharge it. Any other extras is not needed. Which machine would be better for me? shoul it be custom made? what would be the price range? Many thanks...

    Josef..

    Suggestion

See if Ken can work you up a set of the Octvac boosters and connect to a mini waste dump tank.

dual 3 stage auto dump options

Please look at the Mega 3
      or
      The Octavac with auto dump
      or
The Mytee 7000 with a Universal vac booster installed on top
All three of these options will give you a large auto dump pump with dual 3 stage parallel vacuum.

Why does your universal booster lower lift .... Should get more lift with a booster

          vacuum options

The Octavac booster system is dual 3 stage vacuum and has the option of auto dump.

The Enterprise is quad vacuum system with two series pairs. 200 cfm at 165" lift.

You could just add move vacuum to what you already have. You could send us photos and we could double you current CFM by designing a booster system.

Depending on how much electricity you have available. We could build and electric truck mount. The vacuum system would draw 50 amps of power. This would plug into a standard electric dryer plug outlet 30 amps @ 220 volts. This would be a 5 hp 3600 rpm motor turning a #33 vacuum blower, or
Use an 8 hp 3600 motor to turn a #36 vacuum blower hooked to an electric oven outlet (50 amp @ 220 volts)

          I really need more information.

When using a vacuum booster the lift at the machine is the lower of the two. For example if I have a 125" lift booster and stick it on a 155" lift machine, my new lift will be 125" at the machine, but will add 100 cfm more. But the use lift will be higher. For example a 155" lift machine that process 100 open flow cfm (15500 vacuum units), while cleaning carpet will give you about haft of restriction of both (77.5" lift @ 50 cfm = 3875 vacuum units)
Now adding a booster: half the 125" and half the cfm = 6250 vacuum units. That is a 61.29% improvement even though the inches of lift dropped. Both lift and cfm are equally important in drying carpet and being able to add hose length.
