new 1005 just got

Just got a mytee 1005dx and it adapts the hose down from 2" to 1 1/2" why? Would a 2'' hose and wand give me better cfm's and better dry times. Also my old 1005 mytee has a hose from each vac goneing to the recovery tank, new mytee has only one.

A 2" ID vacuum hose would perform better than 1-1/2" ID vacuum hose. The reason most people don't use 2" is that it is stiffer and harder to maneuver in tighter areas. It takes up more room in the service vehicle and is harder to roll up. The dual waste tank 1-1/2" ID vacuum stack design was replaced by a single 2" ID waste tank vacuum stack because the cubic feet per minute on 2" ID hose is double 1-1/2" any way. It is cheaper to manufacture machines with a single 2" stack than dual 1-1/2" ID stacks and they work the same.
