Mytee 1003dx pressure pump failure

I have a pressure pump failure on a mytee 1003dx. I started to prime pump and it started to pressurize and it went from 0 psi to over 1000 psi. then I heard a snap and it quit working. It is leaking water from the pump. Any idea what would have caused this failure and how to fix it. Is there a rebuild kit for the pump or should I replace the whole pump. Is the pressure regulator shot(bypass) are they repairable Can I put in a pump with more psi.
