As far as starting a business, how do you start here in TX. What does our State Comptroller say about the carpet cleaning industry. Do we need a special licensing. And do you know where I could get basic general liability insurance.

The state of Texas does not require a license to clean carpets. Texas State Comptroller does require that you register with them to collect sales tax in their behalf.
