need help and advice on starting a business

Hi, I am really wanting to start a carpet cleaning business. I know there is a lot of competition out there but I know I can give better service than those 10 dollar an hour workers who are just looking for a paycheck. I never cleaned carpets before and dont know where to start. I know I want to start with a portable unit but dont know which one some say to get one with heat and others say it wont heat fast enough to matter. i would also like a good upholstery machine to maybe solicit car lots and camper dealers and maybe airplane interior.i was looking at rotovac and von schrader just to have something diferent than everybody else anybody have any advice on either of these companies.what are the bare necessities I would need to get started aprt time and how can i grow pretty quick to replace my j.o.b. . it seems like it would be pretty easy to make what i make now without all the super high stress of my job i have now.125.00 a day.what do you think. i hear of people making that in one day easy. i dont want to be one of the bottom feeders doing jobs for nothing, but do quality work for good pay.please any advice would really help.would people hire me to do jobs in the evening on the side.
